Microsoft 365 for business in Ireland starts at €6.07 per user per month for Business Basic, paid yearly and excluding VAT, on Microsoft's Irish price list. Microsoft's Irish site lists Business Standard with Copilot at €20.36 and Business Premium with Copilot at €27.73. Enterprise E3 is €37.78 and E5 is €58.13. ERS IT Solutions, a Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider in Blanchardstown, Dublin 15 since 1983, helps Irish businesses pick, buy and manage the right mix.
How much does Microsoft 365 cost in Ireland?
The cost of Microsoft 365 depends on the plan, the number of users, whether you want Teams included and whether you commit for a year. The table below shows Microsoft's own Irish list prices in euro, per user per month, paid yearly, excluding VAT, as shown on Microsoft's Irish pricing pages in autumn 2026 (Microsoft business plans; Microsoft Copilot pricing, checked 28 October 2026).
| Plan | With Teams | Without Teams (EEA) | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Microsoft 365 Business Basic | €6.07 | €4.67 | Email, Teams and web apps only |
| Microsoft 365 Apps for business | €11.00 | n/a | Desktop Office apps, no business email |
| Microsoft 365 Business Standard with Copilot | €20.36 | €17.58 | Desktop apps, email, Copilot |
| Microsoft 365 Business Premium with Copilot | €27.73 | €24.94 | Everything in Standard plus security and device management |
| Microsoft 365 Copilot Business (add-on) | €18.20 (€15.60 first-year offer) | n/a | Adding Copilot to an existing business plan |
Prices paid monthly instead of yearly cost more. For example, Business Premium with Copilot is €33.28 per user per month on monthly payment against €27.73 paid yearly (Microsoft Copilot pricing).
What about Business Standard and Business Premium without Copilot?
Microsoft still offers Business Standard and Business Premium without Copilot, but its Irish direct-buy page leads with the Copilot bundles and did not show a euro price for the plain versions when we checked. For reference, Microsoft's US list prices from 1 July 2026 are $14.00 for Business Standard and $22.00 for Business Premium per user per month (Microsoft licensing news). Through a Cloud Solution Provider you can buy the plans without Copilot in euro. Ask us for the current CSP price.
Microsoft 365 Business Basic vs Standard vs Premium: what is the difference?
Business Basic gives you web and mobile versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, business email on your own domain, Teams and 1 TB of OneDrive storage per user. It suits staff who mostly work in a browser.
Business Standard adds the full desktop apps and extras such as Clipchamp and Loop. Business Premium adds the security layer: Microsoft Defender for Business, Intune device management, Entra ID identity protection with policy-based access, and Purview for finding and protecting sensitive data (Microsoft business plans).
| Feature | Basic | Standard | Premium |
|---|---|---|---|
| Business email, Teams, 1 TB OneDrive | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Desktop Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook | No (web and mobile) | Yes | Yes |
| Intune device management | No | No | Yes |
| Defender for Business (endpoint protection) | No | No | Yes |
| Conditional access and identity protection | Core | Core | Policy-based |
| Purview data protection | No | No | Yes |
| Maximum users | 300 | 300 | 300 |
Which plan should a small Irish business choose?
For most Irish SMEs with laptops, remote staff and client data, Business Premium is the plan we recommend, because it brings device management and endpoint protection that you would otherwise buy separately. Business Standard suits firms that already have a managed security stack. Business Basic works for frontline or occasional users. You can mix plans in one tenant, so not everyone needs Premium.
Microsoft 365 E3 and E5 prices in Ireland
Enterprise plans have no 300-user cap and add stronger compliance, security and analytics. Irish list prices per user per month, paid yearly, excluding VAT (Microsoft enterprise plans, as listed in September 2026):
| Plan | With Teams | Without Teams (EEA) |
|---|---|---|
| Microsoft 365 E3 | €37.78 | €30.36 |
| Microsoft 365 E5 | €58.13 | €50.71 |
| Microsoft 365 E7 (includes Copilot) | €91.92 | €84.51 |
| Microsoft 365 Copilot add-on for enterprise plans | €26.00 | |
| Microsoft Teams EEA (standalone) | €7.41 |
E5 adds Teams Phone, Power BI, extended detection and response, hybrid identity protection and advanced compliance on top of E3. Organisations with fewer than 300 users rarely need E5 unless a regulator or a large customer demands specific compliance tooling.
Microsoft 365 F1 and F3 prices (frontline workers)
Frontline plans are for staff who share devices or work mainly on phones: shop floor, warehouse, care staff and drivers. On Microsoft's Irish price list, Microsoft 365 F1 is €2.60 and F3 is €8.66 per user per month, paid yearly, excluding VAT; without Teams they are €2.16 and €7.73 (Microsoft frontline plans). F1 gives Teams, 2 GB of storage and read-only web and mobile Word, Excel and PowerPoint. F3 lets staff edit in the web and mobile apps and adds Windows Enterprise, Intune and Purview.
What changes the price of Microsoft 365?
The list price is only the start. The real monthly cost depends on:
- Commitment. Monthly commitment can be cancelled any time. Annual commitment is cheaper, but cancelling early may incur a penalty, and an upfront annual payment is not refunded if cancelled mid-term, apart from a 7-day window after purchase (Microsoft FAQ).
- Teams or no Teams. In the EEA, plans without Teams are cheaper, and Teams can be bought separately.
- Copilot. Adding Copilot is the biggest single price jump per user.
- Add-ons. Teams Phone Standard is €8.70 and Defender for Business is €2.60 per user per month on the Irish list.
- The July 2026 price changes. Microsoft raised several commercial suite prices from 1 July 2026. Existing customers move to new pricing at their next renewal (Microsoft licensing news).
- Unused licences. Paying for leavers and shared mailboxes that do not need a licence is the most common waste we find.
- Plan mix. Giving everyone the top plan is simpler but rarely necessary.
How does buying through a Microsoft CSP work?
A Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) is a partner authorised by Microsoft to sell Microsoft cloud subscriptions and provide the support, billing and management around them. Before a CSP can order for you, your business accepts the Microsoft Customer Agreement (Microsoft CSP overview). You still own your tenant and your data.
ERS IT Solutions is a Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider. Buying through us means:
- One monthly invoice in euro, with licences matched to your actual staff list.
- A named team to ring for support instead of a Microsoft support queue.
- Licence reviews to remove waste, through our Microsoft estate management service.
- Setup done properly: MFA, conditional access, device management and email security configured from day one.
- Help moving between plans as you grow, and with the switch from on-premise servers through our cloud migration service.
ERS quotes per business after a short call. We do not publish licence or service prices, because the right plan mix depends on your staff and systems.
Microsoft 365 Business Standard support: what do you get?
Every Microsoft 365 business plan includes "anytime phone and web support" from Microsoft (Microsoft business plans). That covers the service itself, not your setup. Microsoft will not set up your users' laptops, fix your shared mailbox permissions or explain why a leaver's files are missing.
That gap is what a managed IT provider fills. ERS clients ring our helpdesk, with a 15 minute average call response and 98% of issues solved within 30 minutes, and we deal with Microsoft on their behalf where needed.
