Conceived by industry expert Keith Proudfoot, the application centres around one key vision, to allow users to present the full depth of their skills through verified project associations and a “3 Effect” network of capabilities.
ERS partnered with Keith to bring this vision to life—transforming an early concept into a fully realised mobile and web-based solution capable of serving thousands of construction-sector stakeholders. The result is a powerful ecosystem that allows users to explore verified projects, map nearby builds, discover specialists, review products and generate project-based case studies automatically.
The Challenge
The construction industry relies heavily on reputation, yet the mechanisms for showcasing expertise have remained largely fragmented and manual. Contractors, specialists and subcontractors often present their credentials through inconsistent case studies, informal referrals or static portfolio documents that fail to capture the depth and diversity of their project involvement.
Keith identified that the industry lacked a unified, structured way for professionals and businesses to link themselves to the projects they had genuinely delivered. Main contractors had no simple method of highlighting the full ecosystem of specialists, suppliers, engineers and subcontractors who played a part in a build. Individual professionals—employees or independent experts—had no reliable way to evidence their participation across multiple companies or roles. Case studies, when they were produced at all, were created manually, were time-consuming to maintain, and often varied dramatically in quality and format. These shortcomings also extended to project discovery, where clients and users had no consistent way to locate specialists based on verified project histories or regional activity.
The challenge was made even more complex by the need to support a dynamic set of relationships between users, projects, businesses, services and products. The platform would need to manage invitations and approvals, record verified participation, provide detailed project structures, and enable sophisticated search and filtering. It also needed to deliver interactive features such as posting, messaging, notifications and geolocation mapping—while ensuring that all information remained reliable, structured and easy to navigate. Bringing all of this together into a coherent, intuitive and scalable digital product required a ground-up rethink of how construction-sector expertise could be captured and presented in a modern platform.

ERS partnered with Keith Proudfoot to transform the MyFolio3 concept into a fully architected mobile and web platform that brings together complex project relationships, specialist profiles and automated case-study generation in a seamless user experience.
To deliver the core functionality, ERS developed a sophisticated system that allows contractors to create project records containing images, descriptions, specialist involvement, subcontractor participation, suppliers, products and associated individuals. These projects form the backbone of the platform’s interconnected data model.
A notable innovation in the platform is the automated case-study generator. ERS designed a system that pulls structured project and contributor data into a polished, exportable case-study format, saving users significant time normally spent compiling documents manually. This feature enables businesses to respond quickly to tender opportunities and client inquiries by sending professional, consistent case studies directly from within the app.
Behind the scenes, ERS built a comprehensive administrative portal for Keith and his team. This portal allows platform managers to oversee all users, projects, businesses, associations and product listings. It enables the creation of standardised templates, moderation of project associations, and complete access to app-wide data management.
